I was already excited from reading the other reviews, but after I received my headset..... I'm MORE excited than ever. All of my parts fit together perfectly, the sound is good, and I can't wait to enjoy it while riding.
I recently hooked one of these up to a Cobra CB radio just to try it out. I didn't expect a whole lot. I guess I just naturally assumed you would have to give something up for the convenience of having a headset for a CB radio. Not so! The modulation was greatly increased with the MAD1 connected. It was almost like putting a power mic on there. The sound was clear sending and receiving. I didn't have wind or other noise to contend with, so I don't know how it would do there. Also, there was a little feedback when the external speaker plug wasn't in. Still, seems like solid product.
I used this system for setting up a CB on my motorcycle. My fellow riders claim they hear me loud and clear. If I could make any improvement on it, it would be a more compact push to talk button. Other than that it does a fine job.
I can't belief it... I have findly found one of these. I always thought the idea was great but no one had a head set that works with the standard 4 pin CB microphone jack, just the 2 pin FRS/GMRS and handheld CB Walkie/Talkie's. Thanks guys for helping us out, keep up the good work, Mark
