I plugged one of these in to test it out. It does a good job changing your voice. It is VERY obvious to anyone listening that you are using it, though. It makes your voice sound like a lower or higher pitch robot. Each time you press one of the high or low buttons the pitch goes one step up or down. Both at once will turn the changer (but no the mic) off. The microphone requires a 9 v battery that is not included.
