Originally manufactured for Magnum, this radio is the same as their 357DX. It is a microprocessor controlled ham radio. It has 9 memory channels. It has full 10 meter coverage from28.000 to 29.699 MHz. It operates in FM, AM, USB, and LSB modes. It outputs 150 watts PEP variable RF. The control and RF decks are seperate on the 557DX. There is a 9 foot cable that connects them.
