This is our first experience with radios for this purpose so we can't review from any previous point of reference. What we can say is that it worked well for our purposes (communicating with other cars on our car club run) and the shipping was super quick. I would recommend this, especially at this price! Several other members of our club purchased this model as well and we haven't heard any negative remarks, only that they're happy to get this item at this price with the antenna included--seems to be a great value!

I like this radio because I travel a lot. Having the antenna on top of the vehicle is great, because before I tried to talk to the person ahead of me but they couldn't hear me. Now with that antenna, I can talk 2 times as far as before. Great product, and will tell others about them and CB world.
