Having grown up in central Kansas, I know how important it is to have information on severe weather. The Midland WR300 is one of the most widely used weather radios out there today. The overwhelming majority of experiences with this radio are positive. The main setback seems to be with programming the unit. With Midland's excellent support, that should not be a high hurdle. I would recommend this weather alert radio above all others.
