The RiderLink ST-1 is a complete motorcycle intercom, communications and audio system for the driver and passenger of a motorcycle or powersport vehicle. The RiderLink ST-1 includes everything a rider needs to immediately start enjoying communications and audio. The ST-1 comes complete with a full-duplex motorcycle intercom, a built-in FM radio, 2 universal headsets that work in both full-face and open-face helmets, and all necessary cables and adapters to create the perfect communications and audio system for your bike. The RiderLink ST-1 features an intelligent priority circuit that automatically mutes and mixes the audio signals for hands-free operation. With the ST-1 you can use your wireless phone, 2-way radio, radar detector, and external music source to make your next ride that much better. Audio Priority CircuitThe ST-1's audio priority circuit (APC) automatically quiets certain audio signals when other audio signals are present. The APC allows the ST-1 to control numerous communications and audio devices without making the process confusing or cumbersome for the driver and passenger. The APC will dramatically reduce the volume of the music sources (the built-in FM radio and external music device connected to the CD/MP3 input) when either the motorcycle driver or passenger microphone audio input is greater than the music source output. For example, when the driver or passenger speaks into their microphones the music volume is automatically reduced to background noise. Driver - Passenger IntercomThe driver to passenger intercom is a full-duplex intercom. The full-duplex circuit allows driver and passenger to speak to each other at any time - even at the same time. no pushing buttons to talk, and no annoying VOX circuits that clip words! The ST-1 full duplex intercom is just like having a telephone conversation. 2-Way Radio CommunicationsYou can connect a handheld 2-way radio (FRS, GMRS, CB, walkie-talkie, etc) to your ST-1 for motorcycle to motorcylce communications. Both driver and passenger can talk over the 2-way radio, but only one has control of the push-to-talk switch. Mobile Phone CommunicationsThe ST1 features the industry standard 2.5mm headset plug for connecting a mobile phone (cellular, GSM, CDMA, TDMA, etc.) For privacy, the incoming call can only be heard by the driver headset. The passenger will only be able to hear the driver's side of the phone call. Radar DetectorThe ST1 features a 2nd auxiliary audio input for connection of a radar detector, voice prompt GPS, or other device with an audio output jack. To connect a radar detector, GPS or other device to the ST-1, the device must have an audio output jack (earphone jack) not all devices have an audio output jack - and not all deices with an audio output jack have the same size jack. Unfortunately, manufacturers do not standardize their jacks. The ST-1 comes with a 3.5 mm size plug for this connection. If you device requires a different size plug, please ask us for information on an adapter. Built-In FM RadioThe ST-1 features a built-in FM radio with simple scan and reset buttons. It includes and internal antenna, wich may not get good reception in some areas. CD-MP3 Auxiliary Audio InputThe Riderlink ST1 motorcycle intercom features an auxiliary audio input jack for connecting a portable music device (CD, MP3, Cassette, etc) the portable music device must have a standard 3.mm headphone/earphone jack to be compatible with the ST-1. please note that different music devices have different audio output levels, and although the ST-1 has an on-board audio amplifier, a device with a low output level may not be loud enough while riding.
