For Use in Your Vehicle:
If you are wanting to use this radio in your vehicle and want to attach an external antenna to the top of the radio, you will need an AR3 adapter to connect the antenna coax to the top of the radio BNC connection. Just note that you can use the cord that comes with the unit that already has the SO239 connection.
On a vehicle that has a metal body, many people like magnet mount antennas (like the JBC112-3600) so they can easily set up and remove the entire system quickly.
For a vehicle with little or no metal for the body, like a motorcycle, we recommend a NGP antenna system such as the FGX648.
It is important to note that you will need to use an SWR meter to tune the antenna to your vehicle to optimize your system and reduce possible damage to your radio. This is not as daunting as it sounds! Visit our Help Center for help with this.
Need a Headset?
Need an Additional Microphone?
Looking for a microphone to connect to the 75822? See the 22M11 Midland Speaker Microphone. The Midland Speaker Microphone is a good one, however it does not come with a jack for an earpiece. If you wanted a microphone with that earpiece jack, check out the KSPM1 or the PMRSM lapel mic. Also check out the AUEPD1 earpiece.
Connector Information: Twin 3.5 mm stereo 2.5mm mic
Need a Protective Case?
Need a quality hard leather case for this unit? Look no further! See the MD70203BW.
Want an Extended Range Antenna?
An extended range antenna would replace the short, stubby antenna and offers increased communication range since it is a longer antenna. Check out the telescopic HATA antenna and the flexible rubber SA2 antenna.
