Base Stations at CB World
Base stations are a great way to stay connected, especially during an emergency.
We have base station radios, antennas, and microphones!
Same with a vehicle antenna, the longer and higher the antenna is, the more range you will get.
Take note that you can utilize a mobile CB radio as your base station radio, however, you will likely need a power supply to power the radio since they typically do not come with a power cord that you can plug into the wall. In some cases, you can save yourself a good deal of money with this option.
Lastly, it is important to remember that if your base station radio does not have a built-in SWR meter, you will need a SWR meter to calibrate and tune your base station antenna just like you would for your vehicle CB antenna.
