Other info

The power cable for this radio is permanently attached to the back of the radio. You will need to route the cable from the mounting location to the power source.

The 19 DX IV includes a mounting bracket and hardware. The radio attaches to its mounting bracket with two 6mm thumb screws.

If you'd like to use this as a base station radio, check out the PS3 power supply.

Please note that this radio does not have a built-in SWR meter. You will need an external SWR meter (like the AUSWR) in order to tune your antenna system for optimal performance. See our Help Center's article How to Tune a CB Antenna for additional information.

At first I wasn't impressed with the radio. This unit was replacing an old Cobra 19 that had seen better days. New radio, new coax and new antenna. Should have been easy to dial in the SWR, but no, no it wasn't. I had it close, just above 2, but I couldn't transmit well. I was told it was weak and scratchy. So I tried tuning the antenna again, same result. Swapped out mic's (Astatic) no difference. Pulled out another new coax (we'll just call it Brand F) and hooked it up, retune the SWR just over 1 and viola'. Clear strong transmission and it pulls in a strong clear signal. Now I'm very happy with this new peaked and tuned Cobra 19. just don't take for granted that a new coax is a good coax.
