I mounted to the left side of my hood near the A pillar. VSWR on CH1 and CH40 both started out higher than 3. I trimmed the whip down to 46" and am getting a VSWR on CH1 of just over 1, CH19 just under 1.5, and CH40 just under 2.5. With further trimming I can probably get it tuned even better.
This antenna works fine. I trimmed a bit iff the whip, and it is nicely tuned to the frequencies I need.
